7. Transfer of Data

We may move your information, including Personal Data, to computers outside your state, province or country. In those places, data protection laws may differ from the laws where you live.

If you are outside the United States and share information with us, we transfer that data to the United States and process it there. By accepting this policy and sending us your information, you agree to that transfer.

Still, DOGA Construction takes all reasonable steps to keep your data safe and to follow this policy. Therefore, we only transfer your Personal Data to an organization or country that has proper controls in place, including controls for data security.

Your data security matters to us. However, no way of sending data over the Internet or storing it online is 100% secure. So, although we use commercially reasonable ways to protect your Personal Data, we cannot promise complete security.

10. Your Rights Under the GDPR

If you live in the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA), the GDPR gives you certain data protection rights. For this reason, we take reasonable steps so that you can correct, change, delete or limit the use of your Personal Data.

Do you want to know what Personal Data we hold about you, or do you want us to remove it? If so, email us at leadteam@dogaconstruction.com. In certain cases, you have these rights:

  • the right to see, update or delete the information we have about you;
  • the right to correct your information if it is wrong or incomplete;
  • the right to object when we process your Personal Data;
  • the right to ask us to limit how we process your personal information;
  • the right to get a copy of your Personal Data in a structured, common and machine-readable format;
  • the right to withdraw your consent at any time, when we rely on your consent to process your information.

Before we answer such requests, we may ask you to confirm your identity. Also, please note that without some basic data, we may not be able to provide the Service.

Finally, you have the right to complain to a Data Protection Authority about how we collect and use your Personal Data. For more details, contact your local data protection authority in the EEA.

11. Your Rights Under CalOPPA

CalOPPA is the California Online Privacy Protection Act. It was the first state law in the United States to require websites and online services to post a privacy policy.

The law reaches far beyond California. In fact, it applies to any person or company in the United States, and possibly the world, whose website collects personal data from California consumers. Such a website must post a clear privacy policy. That policy must say exactly what data the site collects and who receives it. The company must then follow that policy.

Under CalOPPA, we agree to the following:

  • you can visit our site without telling us who you are;
  • our Privacy Policy link includes the word “Privacy”, and you can easily find it on our home page;
  • we will tell you about any change to this policy on our Privacy Policy page;
  • you can change your personal information by emailing us at leadteam@dogaconstruction.com.

Our policy on “Do Not Track” signals. We respect Do Not Track signals. When your browser sends one, we do not track you, place cookies or use advertising. Do Not Track is a setting in your web browser that tells websites you do not want tracking. To turn it on or off, open the Preferences or Settings page of your browser.

12. Your Rights Under the CCPA

If you live in California, you have the right to learn what data we collect about you. In addition, you can ask us to delete your data and not to sell or share it. To use these rights, you can send us the requests below.

What personal information do you have about me? If you ask this, we will tell you:

  • the categories of personal information we collected about you;
  • the categories of sources of that information;
  • the business reason for collecting or selling it;
  • the categories of third parties that receive it;
  • the specific pieces of personal information we collected about you;
  • a list of the categories of personal information we sold, and the type of company that bought each one. If we did not sell your information, we will tell you so;
  • a list of the categories of personal information we shared for a business purpose, and the type of company that received each one.

You can ask for this information up to two times in any 12-month period. When you ask, our answer may cover only the data we collected in the last 12 months.

Delete my personal information. If you ask this, we will delete the personal information we hold about you as of the date of your request. We will also tell our service providers to do the same. In some cases, we may remove the details that identify you instead of deleting the data. However, after deletion, some functions that need your information may stop working for you.

Stop selling my personal information. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, for any purpose, and we never sell it for money. Even so, California law may treat some transfers without payment as a “sale”. For example, this may include a transfer to a partner or within our group of companies. You alone own your Personal Data, and you can ask to see it or delete it at any time.

If you ask us to stop selling your data, we will stop those transfers. Keep in mind that deleting your data or stopping its sale may change your experience with us. For instance, you may not be able to join programs or memberships that need your information. Still, we will never treat you unfairly for using your rights.

To use your California data rights, email your request to leadteam@dogaconstruction.com. The CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) protects these rights, and it took effect on January 1, 2020. To learn more, visit the official California Legislative Information website.

13. Service Providers

We may hire other companies and people to help us run the Service (“Service Providers”). For example, they may provide the Service for us, perform related tasks or help us study how people use it. These partners can see your Personal Data only to do these tasks for us. In addition, they must not share it or use it for anything else.

14. Analytics

We may use outside Service Providers to track and study how people use our Service.

15. Behavioral Remarketing

After you visit our Service, we may show you our ads on other websites. To do this, we and our partners use cookies. These cookies help us choose, improve and show ads based on your past visits.

16. Links to Other Sites

Our Service may include links to sites that we do not run. If you click one of these links, you will go to that other site. Therefore, we strongly suggest that you read the privacy policy of every site you visit. We have no control over their content, privacy policies or practices, and we take no responsibility for them.

17. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not for children under 18 (“Child” or “Children”). We do not knowingly collect personal information from Children under 18. If you learn that a Child gave us Personal Data, please contact us. Then, if we find that we collected such data without parental consent, we will remove it from our servers.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page. Before the change takes effect, we will also tell you by email or with a clear notice on our Service. Then, we will update the effective date at the top of this policy.

Please check this page from time to time for changes. Any change takes effect as soon as we post it here.

19. Text Messaging and Mobile Information

We use the mobile phone number you provide only to send the text messages you choose to receive: estimate requests, appointment scheduling and reminders, and project updates (non-marketing) and, separately and only if you opt in, offers, discounts and service updates (marketing). Each type of message is a separate, optional choice on our forms, and consent is not a condition of any purchase.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. For more details, see the SMS Terms in our Terms & Conditions.
